Tea and caffeine

Tea, as well as coffee and around 60 other plant species, contains natural caffeine. Therefore, drinking tea has a refreshing, stimulating effect.

The quantity of caffeine depends to a great extent on the size of the leaves and the brewing of the tea. The caffeine in one cup of black tea is only 30-40% of the amount in a same dose of coffee.
